Member 2, "clickndrag" 3 weeks in

Just finished the 3rd week of my online task of turning $100 into $2000 in 2 months. with the result being a steady 50/1 player by the end. week 1 brought my roll up to $158.

weeks 2 and 3 havn't been as eventful as i had hoped, i had planned to get 20k hands in the 2 weeks when in reality due to work and golfing commitments its been closer to 7K. this has made it a struggle to really win alot of money and its shown in my results.

my roll currently stands at $260, which is still moving in the right direction but all too slowly for my liking. im actually quite happy with my play for the 2 weeks just time commitment has me crippled. ive stopped calling raises out of position with suited connectors which was a big fault of mine but ive managed to resist the temptation and its been showing in my results.

Ive noticed that position is key in online 6 max poker, this is very relevant at the low stakes as the fish playing will call your raise with any 2 cards. and as a result have no chance OOP unless they hit the flop hard. So the key thing ive been remembering is,

out of position = out of action

I also have been entered 4 $5 MTT, and had great success, ive cashed in all 4, getting to the final 2 tables in 2 and final tabled in 1. i came 6th in the final table and really could have done alot better, annoying since i got $60 for 6th and 1st got 450. Ive been thinking alot about the hand that put me out and im just wondering if one of the squad could help me out with it and maybe spare some advice.

Avg stack 50k, i have 60k and i am 3rd in chips. blinds 2/4k with an ante of 250, i pick up AK off in mid position, under the gun limps, 2nd position limps, i then make it 24K to go. s nd bb fold, under the gun then reships for 70K, 2nd position folds. its on me last to act with around 36k behind. it is now 36k to win 136.5k. so being a prodominatly cash player i assume im priced in and make the call. to which the villain obviously has AA. its really the only hand i can see him limping under the gun to reship with. with other player on 13k and 30k can i afford to make this fold? knowing that the difference between 6th and 3rd is 100 dollars?

also won 150 pounds this week in live cash but donking away 55 of it in 2 live tournaments.

hopefully the next time i blog (week 4) i will be up to 0.10/0.25 level, the mark is 350 dollars. wish me luck.

total profit for weeks 3 + 4 = $102 + £95 = $243

member three

this is my first attempt at an entry on the click and drag blog. I am member 3. My poker strtd about a year bak in house games progressing to a regular live setup and recently i have ventured into the online world. I have played mostly at stars and a modest 5-10 up to 10-25 for most of my time but had recently began to get some momentum together with a 10 roll and managed to get to 200. I began to venture towards the 50-1 limits and a combination of poor bankroll management, experimentation with the bluffing aspect of the game conspired to all but destroy my roll, a swift tilt over the next week saw it off tho. At this point i realised ther needed to be a change and that ther had to be easier learning curves than that which required me to blow my roll.
I have began reading and some of the discoveries are invaluable and along with the advice of the squad i moved to tilt ( i shall b moving bak quite quikly) a succesion of 4 three outers in 10 minutes sent me realing into the realms of tilt and with a minute bankroll i decided to cut my visit short.
However all was not lost i took special care with a succesion of live cash games over the next week and managed to get some chunks that will swiftly be deposited. I also played a $25 live tourney and managed to cash for 3rd which was not massive but a nice payout, the payout structure was very top heavy and a grind for second wud hav been worthwhile but unfortunately not possible as at the time noone at the table had more than ten bb (it was a tight night i can assure u).
Not to dismiss the online world with my rencent success live, but i think it definitly has taught me the value of concentration, patience and grind. Perhaps i shud lay off multitabling for a while and reduce my online shifts in an effort to avoid the tilt that has been so readily available, that coupled with some more revision should hopefully have my next deposit and blog singing a happier tune!

"clickndrag" one week in.

I have now been playing the 2 months 2 thousand challenge for one week. It has been a harder grind than i had initially thought it would be. ive realised my multi-table skills arent good enough to play 6+ tables and still play my best poker, so ive cut them down to 3-4 tables and as a result ive noticed im not making just as many bad plays.

I havent had as much time as i would have hoped to play, as ive been busy with work and golf competitions. ive managed to get in around 5k hands, all at 7NL. ive leanrt alot about this level and i'm very confident that i can beat this level without any real great play. the main things i have to remember are to be very aggressive pre-flop and to c-bet around 90% of the time. when i have shown down ive seen alot of people calling preflop raises and even pre flop 3 betting with the likes of K rag suited. So i need to take more advantage of that. Another thing ive noticed is that people dont overbet without a made hand. there has been serveral occasions where ive made hero calls with 2nd pairs reading the villan for a missed draw and it just hasnt been the case.

My roll currently stands at $158, leaving my slightly behind schedule, my target was to be on $200 after week 1 and get it to 350 by week 2. although i just havent had the time to play. Im going to play around 10k hands this week and hopfully catch up with my target. im also to get 20 dollars in rake and recieve extra in bonus's.

ive lost most of my money which flush draws as of late. Id say im around -70+ after flopping them. My plan has been to re-raise with them and get the money in as soon as possible. Although at the moment ive been missing and its lead me to be confused about the whole aspect of the semi-bluff raise at this level. for people will call your raise as its not alot of money, this also means your getting your money in as a 64 - 36% dog and surly theres a better spot for me to get my money in than that. My plan has now become to just bet/call a bet with the draw for now. i realise this is a weak play but as i move up ill get more aggressive when needed.

Also played a live tournament this week, 30+ runners, ran pretty bad for most of the tournament but managed to scrape throught to the final table with 6k (avg stack 40k) but from here i played great poker getting lucky a couple of times to double up then really started to run through the table. It was a very passive table so i was playing loose-aggressive which goes away from my normal playing style, although it suited the table well and was chip leader on 120k 4 handed, this made the money. I called an all in for 46k with AK, was up against 77 and his hand held up which took abit out of my sails. I continued to be loose which ended up being my downfall as my 70k all in got called down by K 9 to put me out. Im confident i played the best poker but it just wasnt to be.

I will update again after week 2 with hopefully some positive feedback.

profit for week = $148

total profit = $148

2nd member

I am another member of the clickndrag squad that will be using the blog ,

Ive played poker for around 2 years now and in that time i have managed to earn around 5k in the game, which is a good bonus to my 6k a year salary. my poker accomplishments include turning a $44 account into a $2350 roll. ive played stakes anywhere from 2NL on and up to 2000NL.

Due to holidays/social costs i had to cash out most of my roll, but now with this new plan i hope to start earning a solid part time living from the online world.

I joined full tilt a week ago today under the name "clickndrag" with a bankroll of $100 and the initial plan was to turn that into $2000 in 2 months. Setting aside 25 hours a week of playing time. I was to play 6+ tables at 0.05/0.10c tables sitting down with 7 dollars at each table. I have set out the following guidelines for my bankroll.

$0-350. 0.05/0.10
$350-800. 0.10/0.25
$800-1500. 0.25/0.50
$1500-2000. 0.50/1

I realise by far isnt perfect management but with the time and the patience i have at the moment i hope it should be enough.

the main goal of the blog is for self analysis and if i plan on attempting this again for a reminder of how to go about and how i can improve it for the next time.

i will update in a week with how i have got on.

Click "n" Drag

Welcome to the new home of the click n drag squad.

We will be hoping to work our way up the levels from as low as 2nl and hopefully by next year we will be multi tabling 200nl each.

Each member is starting off with 100 pound playing on tilt and stars, atm we our aiming to make £2000 in two months and work from there, the goal will start on 1st june and hopefully we will be crushing the games.

On a personal note, am playing live poker for the next 5days and if am not up am quitting putting effort into poker for a long long time, i will be playing 25p/50p game friday to tuesday with an aim off making hopefully at least £200 but goal i would like to get is £500.

so far so good friday night am up £55, minus £5 taxi home so £50:

Friday nite was a long and boring grind, the biggest hand i had before midnight was, i was sitting on around £60 in big blind and it gets limped round to me, i have 8,2 off suit check please.

Flop comes 10,8,2. i bet £3.50 guy beside me who has around £40 reraises to £10, 1 other caller i flat. Turn comes a 2. house! i check guy bets £15 guy folds i call, river comes blank, i bet out £20, guy calls, turns over AA. thank god for no raise pre flop lol

Then for 3 hours i didnt get one single hand and was back down to £60, then alot of strange things happen, i get aces get it all in pre, guy turns over aces! then get kings all in pre guy turns over kings! wot r the odds! then 6,5 utg i call. three in pot

Flop 5A5, two spades, i bet £4 into 1,75 pot guy calls other guy folds. Turn 5 QUADS, i bet £2 being like r u joking split pot easy, guy re raises me to £15, i flat. River 7 guy leads out for £15 i reraise to £65, he calls and i take down the pot, play for 2 hours more, no hands

walk out with 135 started with 80.

now time for food and at it again, sick grind but would like to thank ross mcc for his text wen i was tilting due to not getting any hands first 2 hours telling me am playing for over 100 hours all i need to do is be patient and will get 30 min were i triple up.

I learn alot for today and will work on game more.

hopefully fellow clink n drag members will blog at later date on how they doing etc and anything interesting, laterz

Bankroll Gone but not by POKER

Lost all my bankroll there other night while waiting on a seat at the poker table. I decided to play dice and i just couldn't walk away shocking.

So my live game is none zero until next loan or may.

Internet my bankroll is on 30 dollars from zero, not bad and now i will be using my time which would be spent playing live online, i aim to play around 500 hands a session and will be 4 tabling 1/2cent 6max. I will be playing 6 max as after a lot of stats and reviewing it the easiest game to crush and more hands to see.

My major aim is to turn my poker table rating from -580 to zero and if i can do that in the month of march am doing great it is very possible as it works out 19 dollars aday, and if i play to sessions a day at 500 hands min a session i think i can make 20 pound a day easy, also if i can do this i will be cashing it straight out i hate to admit am broke and i need it as much as possible, i aim to be on 100 dollars on the 10th march, thats 7 days. Lets hope i can do it

My next post will be the time i get to 100, and if i take into account am going to be playing when am not doing anything i should have this done easy since i dont go to sleep to early morning.

Horrible Weekend

Well, Thursday night started off good had a 2 hour session during day were made 30 quid then went back at night after a night out which isn't recommended but i didnt drink much due to average night and end up making a total of 225 for the day.

Then friday sick couldn't win anything in tourney i went out after 45 mins i think played crap and then same with cash, this was however all due to fact i just didnt feel up to it, my mind wasnt working well and i was tired from previous night i expect. And was down around 145 for night.

Saturday was lets say interesting, lost first buy in off a guy who called my 9.50 reraise with 6,3 spades i had king, ace off...flop came K,10,J...two spades meaning i had outs if he hit two pair, i checked he pushed all in...i looked at him and knew right away he was drawing to something most likely flush, so i called turn was 5 am ahead but then 2 spades falls. SICK and guy was a tosser.

@nd buy in had queens versus kings, i knew guy was strong as he plays for a living and all i cud put him on was kings and i knew it, i really should of folded when he put me all in on the low board with 1 card to come but i was given a clock against me and i knew that was it i called and he did have kings at least i had outs and tbf to him he give me chance and ran it twice. next buy in i doubled quickly all in on flop i had nut straight guy had set, ended up up 55 for day but i played for around 10 hours, eugh

Sunday didnt play and tonight am going to go now get food and play for 3 hours r so. hopefully will run well.
