I will be posting new posts every week or so about how i played and where, hopefully this will one help me keep an account of my finances and two help me realize were i have went wrong in hands and how i should be changing my style.
I play poker regularly online and in the local casino. My tournament play is strong but i need to learn to finish better as i can always go deep ie final two tables but i struggle to make the move in chips to reach the final table. In cash i either have massive success or failure, i believe in betting all streets strong and making most cash possible but i do have the odd blow up and am not afraid to throw the three barrels which gets me in trouble at times and means i have to grind my ass off.
Anyway this year i plan to be profitable and this means not putting money into my online account as am good enough to make money, my bankroll this year started at zero due to fact i played way too high stakes for my own good, i sat down with the pro's online and my roll all went in a hand were i had AK and he had KQ, all money was in after the turn of a K and being 92% fav, he hit the Q if i won that hand my roll and profit for year would have been good and this year i could have been happy but now am grinding as i believe this will make me unsure bankroll management better and let me learn more.
In the casino i play about 3-4 times a week, the games range from 25/50p. To 1/2£ and then £5. Each table has its daily grinders with the £5 having some very good and big players which have won millions between them and some sponsored. One played who i admire alot has final tabled in a WSOP event and won around 2million playing poker but lost 3million on the horses they say but he has amazing knowledge.
My goal is by end off year to make enough money that i can join the big guys and be comfortable to play but to do this i will have to learn and realize my mistakes.
I will be starting at 25/50p in casino which has a lot of gambling so you have to grind a lot as last week r so since started i have broke even just which sucks as my aces got cracked by jacks all in pre and ace king flopping set of aces i get call by pocket 2s all in flop and he hit 2 for house sik but what can you do.
Anyway goals are make strong bank roll online, in casino which will take me a while and inbetween i have to do make time to do work. My online roll at moment stands at 6.98 dollars and am playing fixed 2c/4c which sucks but this is from nothing so i will hopefully make it. I have a set bankroll management which i will post soon so you can see.
My other goal is too appear in a big tournament and also cash more, but tbf tournaments this year i have only played about 5 in total one being just to have break from cash game. So in future i will up my game there but online i wont play for good couple months i hope by april i have enough which should mean my br is around 1k.
Well anyway this blog for myself and if you read it thanks for following today am off too art gallery and then poker tables away at 4pm for a 2hour session and then off out tonight, if weather however stays this shit i will play tournament which last time went out as my bluff got called by bottom pair just because guy likes me and was like am going out so just take rest my chips and after he said if i wasn't going out he would have folded, i wish he wasn't going out lol
