"clickndrag" one week in.

I have now been playing the 2 months 2 thousand challenge for one week. It has been a harder grind than i had initially thought it would be. ive realised my multi-table skills arent good enough to play 6+ tables and still play my best poker, so ive cut them down to 3-4 tables and as a result ive noticed im not making just as many bad plays.

I havent had as much time as i would have hoped to play, as ive been busy with work and golf competitions. ive managed to get in around 5k hands, all at 7NL. ive leanrt alot about this level and i'm very confident that i can beat this level without any real great play. the main things i have to remember are to be very aggressive pre-flop and to c-bet around 90% of the time. when i have shown down ive seen alot of people calling preflop raises and even pre flop 3 betting with the likes of K rag suited. So i need to take more advantage of that. Another thing ive noticed is that people dont overbet without a made hand. there has been serveral occasions where ive made hero calls with 2nd pairs reading the villan for a missed draw and it just hasnt been the case.

My roll currently stands at $158, leaving my slightly behind schedule, my target was to be on $200 after week 1 and get it to 350 by week 2. although i just havent had the time to play. Im going to play around 10k hands this week and hopfully catch up with my target. im also to get 20 dollars in rake and recieve extra in bonus's.

ive lost most of my money which flush draws as of late. Id say im around -70+ after flopping them. My plan has been to re-raise with them and get the money in as soon as possible. Although at the moment ive been missing and its lead me to be confused about the whole aspect of the semi-bluff raise at this level. for people will call your raise as its not alot of money, this also means your getting your money in as a 64 - 36% dog and surly theres a better spot for me to get my money in than that. My plan has now become to just bet/call a bet with the draw for now. i realise this is a weak play but as i move up ill get more aggressive when needed.

Also played a live tournament this week, 30+ runners, ran pretty bad for most of the tournament but managed to scrape throught to the final table with 6k (avg stack 40k) but from here i played great poker getting lucky a couple of times to double up then really started to run through the table. It was a very passive table so i was playing loose-aggressive which goes away from my normal playing style, although it suited the table well and was chip leader on 120k 4 handed, this made the money. I called an all in for 46k with AK, was up against 77 and his hand held up which took abit out of my sails. I continued to be loose which ended up being my downfall as my 70k all in got called down by K 9 to put me out. Im confident i played the best poker but it just wasnt to be.

I will update again after week 2 with hopefully some positive feedback.

profit for week = $148

total profit = $148

2nd member

I am another member of the clickndrag squad that will be using the blog ,

Ive played poker for around 2 years now and in that time i have managed to earn around 5k in the game, which is a good bonus to my 6k a year salary. my poker accomplishments include turning a $44 account into a $2350 roll. ive played stakes anywhere from 2NL on and up to 2000NL.

Due to holidays/social costs i had to cash out most of my roll, but now with this new plan i hope to start earning a solid part time living from the online world.

I joined full tilt a week ago today under the name "clickndrag" with a bankroll of $100 and the initial plan was to turn that into $2000 in 2 months. Setting aside 25 hours a week of playing time. I was to play 6+ tables at 0.05/0.10c tables sitting down with 7 dollars at each table. I have set out the following guidelines for my bankroll.

$0-350. 0.05/0.10
$350-800. 0.10/0.25
$800-1500. 0.25/0.50
$1500-2000. 0.50/1

I realise by far isnt perfect management but with the time and the patience i have at the moment i hope it should be enough.

the main goal of the blog is for self analysis and if i plan on attempting this again for a reminder of how to go about and how i can improve it for the next time.

i will update in a week with how i have got on.

Click "n" Drag

Welcome to the new home of the click n drag squad.

We will be hoping to work our way up the levels from as low as 2nl and hopefully by next year we will be multi tabling 200nl each.

Each member is starting off with 100 pound playing on tilt and stars, atm we our aiming to make £2000 in two months and work from there, the goal will start on 1st june and hopefully we will be crushing the games.

On a personal note, am playing live poker for the next 5days and if am not up am quitting putting effort into poker for a long long time, i will be playing 25p/50p game friday to tuesday with an aim off making hopefully at least £200 but goal i would like to get is £500.

so far so good friday night am up £55, minus £5 taxi home so £50:

Friday nite was a long and boring grind, the biggest hand i had before midnight was, i was sitting on around £60 in big blind and it gets limped round to me, i have 8,2 off suit check please.

Flop comes 10,8,2. i bet £3.50 guy beside me who has around £40 reraises to £10, 1 other caller i flat. Turn comes a 2. house! i check guy bets £15 guy folds i call, river comes blank, i bet out £20, guy calls, turns over AA. thank god for no raise pre flop lol

Then for 3 hours i didnt get one single hand and was back down to £60, then alot of strange things happen, i get aces get it all in pre, guy turns over aces! then get kings all in pre guy turns over kings! wot r the odds! then 6,5 utg i call. three in pot

Flop 5A5, two spades, i bet £4 into 1,75 pot guy calls other guy folds. Turn 5 QUADS, i bet £2 being like r u joking split pot easy, guy re raises me to £15, i flat. River 7 guy leads out for £15 i reraise to £65, he calls and i take down the pot, play for 2 hours more, no hands

walk out with 135 started with 80.

now time for food and at it again, sick grind but would like to thank ross mcc for his text wen i was tilting due to not getting any hands first 2 hours telling me am playing for over 100 hours all i need to do is be patient and will get 30 min were i triple up.

I learn alot for today and will work on game more.

hopefully fellow clink n drag members will blog at later date on how they doing etc and anything interesting, laterz
