"clickndrag" one week in.

I have now been playing the 2 months 2 thousand challenge for one week. It has been a harder grind than i had initially thought it would be. ive realised my multi-table skills arent good enough to play 6+ tables and still play my best poker, so ive cut them down to 3-4 tables and as a result ive noticed im not making just as many bad plays.

I havent had as much time as i would have hoped to play, as ive been busy with work and golf competitions. ive managed to get in around 5k hands, all at 7NL. ive leanrt alot about this level and i'm very confident that i can beat this level without any real great play. the main things i have to remember are to be very aggressive pre-flop and to c-bet around 90% of the time. when i have shown down ive seen alot of people calling preflop raises and even pre flop 3 betting with the likes of K rag suited. So i need to take more advantage of that. Another thing ive noticed is that people dont overbet without a made hand. there has been serveral occasions where ive made hero calls with 2nd pairs reading the villan for a missed draw and it just hasnt been the case.

My roll currently stands at $158, leaving my slightly behind schedule, my target was to be on $200 after week 1 and get it to 350 by week 2. although i just havent had the time to play. Im going to play around 10k hands this week and hopfully catch up with my target. im also to get 20 dollars in rake and recieve extra in bonus's.

ive lost most of my money which flush draws as of late. Id say im around -70+ after flopping them. My plan has been to re-raise with them and get the money in as soon as possible. Although at the moment ive been missing and its lead me to be confused about the whole aspect of the semi-bluff raise at this level. for people will call your raise as its not alot of money, this also means your getting your money in as a 64 - 36% dog and surly theres a better spot for me to get my money in than that. My plan has now become to just bet/call a bet with the draw for now. i realise this is a weak play but as i move up ill get more aggressive when needed.

Also played a live tournament this week, 30+ runners, ran pretty bad for most of the tournament but managed to scrape throught to the final table with 6k (avg stack 40k) but from here i played great poker getting lucky a couple of times to double up then really started to run through the table. It was a very passive table so i was playing loose-aggressive which goes away from my normal playing style, although it suited the table well and was chip leader on 120k 4 handed, this made the money. I called an all in for 46k with AK, was up against 77 and his hand held up which took abit out of my sails. I continued to be loose which ended up being my downfall as my 70k all in got called down by K 9 to put me out. Im confident i played the best poker but it just wasnt to be.

I will update again after week 2 with hopefully some positive feedback.

profit for week = $148

total profit = $148
